Young people learn what the Global Goals are and choose a priority goal for themselves. They also learn about activism and art as forces for social change. They produce an artistic expression with a social message with the help of professional artists. The artistic expressions are shown to their local community during an (online) event and/or exhibition.
The Global Goals refer to the Sustainable Development Goals as drawn up by the United Nations.
→ citizenship: students become aware of the sustainable development goals
→ digital literacy: putting the artistic expressions online
→ creativity: creating an artistic expression
→ community project: the (online) event/exhibition showcasing their artistic expressions
Every project consists of 5 lessons, including home works and community activity. They utilise the Blended Learning approach – a combination of teacher-led virtual and in-class lessons, individual tasks and group work offline and online. However, the final decision on the format is up to a teacher, based on resources and technology availability.
