What Happened
Inviting young talents from across Bangladesh, MasterPeace Club of Bangladesh organized an International Photo Contest 2017. 540 photographers submitted around 6008 photos to take part this competition under 5 different themes: Peace in General, Open color, Nature, People, and Social Co-existence.
Jury board comprised of Merijn Roubroeks. Mirjam: Honoured, photographers from Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and Fakhrul Islam, and Manjur Babu from Bangladesh selected 60 photos from 37 participants for exhibition and grand award. Among the photos 3 photographs were selected for grand prizes.
Following the ‘Award Ceremony’ and two Exhibitions of the selected photographs attended by 540 Participants+ 100 Guest
Impact
- Giving a chance to thousands of young talented Bangladeshis to shine light on their photos.
- Creating community of photographers for peace connected to each others and to professional photographers globally.
- Kick start the career of some of these photographers.
- Next Steps
- The club can use this pool of photographers to support the club’s activities.
- Small fund from the MasterPeace team to these photographers to sell their artwork and give back to MasterPeace activities
- The young photographers will give classes to some amateur photographers as part of MasterPeace activities.
